5 Year Anniversary

We made it to the five year mark, and we are still going strong and so much in love! :) We went out for some fast food dinner to the local mall food court. It was delicious. We are heading out camping this weekend to celebrate. We are planning on heading up near Harrison and leave when I come home from work. I already have a terrible head cold as I am stuffed up and I have major sinus pain. Though nothing is going to stop me from enjoying our anniversary.

We exchanged gifts last night, he bought me a pair of beautiful earrings. I have not owned a pair of good earrings in years, not to mention I have not changed my earrings in at least 6 or more years. I will post a picture of them on flickr. I bought Bryan a floater coat so he can finally have his own when we go up to the cabin. He loves it, though we might exchange it for a larger size.

I am going to head out and start getting ready for work. I am excited as my boss is buying us a Sushi lunch today, as it is also her wedding anniversary on the weekend.

Sad News: My brother and his fiancée broke up. I do not know the details, as the break up is fresh. I am going to give my brother some time before asking questions as to what happened. They had been together for at least 6 years and became engaged last September on my birthday.

Yikes Oh No!

Bryan and I are getting ready to go out and meet some friends at a local bar. I am currently searching for the necklace that Bryan had brought me for our second Valentines. It is beautiful, it has a Blue Sapphire and Diamonds on it.

I can’t find it. I can’t even recall the last time that I wore it. We moved back in February and my last memory is of myself looking at it while I was packing up all my belongings at our old place. I have no idea where it could be. I do not even know if I wore it this past Valentines Day. This is the only piece of jewlery that I own, my heart is in my stomach right now.

I thought it would be inside my night stand beside my bed but I cannot find it in there. I even tried searching quickly inside Bryan’s just in case it would be there instead. There are not many places that I would have put it when I moved. I am not that stupid as if I would put it in some unsafe location.

I want to ask Bryan if he has seen it around. He is always the finder of things that are obvious. Though this is something I do not want to bring up to him. I’m sure he could help me find it, but I do not want to upset him just in case we both can’t find it.

Blackcomb Adventures

This past Saturday Bryan and I woke up bright and early and heading up to Whistler for the day to do some snowboarding up on Blackcomb mountain. The drive was great, road conditions were excellent. Only had to stop a few times once for breakfast at Tim Hortons, and a few bathroom stops (I really should have taken the gravol before we left)…

When we finally arrived, we strapped on our boards, and headed straight up to the very top of the mountain. Where we rode hard all day long until we stopped for lunch. I nearly fell asleep at the table as I was so beat. It also did not help that I only had five hours of sleep the night before. The we continued to ride until it was closing time.

For Christmas Bryan had bought me a day lift ticket, so this day was sort of a date. It was great to get away just the two of us. We did invite some friends to come up with us but nobody called us. Whatever their loss. I have not had so much fun snowboarding in such a long time. The local mountains that I go to are nothing compared to world class Blackcomb.

The drive home was a little sketchy. The highway heading up there is currently being widened for the 2010 Olympic. The drive at night had me on edge the whole time. You would be driving and following the lines one minute, then the next your lane lines disappeared and seem to drive straight off a cliff, or into on coming traffic. No wounder there are so many deadly accidents there, you really have to be paying 110% of the time and absolutely no speeding. Yet there were a bunch of idiot drivers passing us, riding the ass of other cars, just being dangerous. We half expected to come across some of them a few minutes later ripped to shreds by a semi truck, or to have ripped a hole in the guard rail plunging down a cliff into the ocean. I’m happy we made it home safe.

I have uploaded all my Blackcomb pictures on to my flickr account. I will leave you with a few of my favorite shots taken that day.
