Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Canada Day! Be safe and have fun!

My plan for today is to have some breakfast in the backyard (it totally beautiful again outside) and then head down into Steveston to meet up with some friends to do some bike riding. Not to mention a bunch of public drinking. LOL! I already know that this Canada is going to be more low key than last year, simply because well … tomorrow everyone as to go back to work. I really hate this work on Monday, Tuesday Holiday and then Wednesday back to work stuff…. It is throwing me for a loop. Though I have a feeling that come Wednesday the rest of the week will just fly by.

I went up to the cabin last weekend. Bryan did not join me as he had a 10 year high school reunion to attend. I was not up for heading to the bar to meet up with a bunch of folk I do not know so I opted for the cabin and my brother picked me up. It was my first time traveling on the ferries that I could remember, then I made my own way down to the marina just as my brother was arriving. It was such a nice relaxing weekend, even though I did blow up at my brother over something stupid. I was tired and just wanted to relax. My mom kept butting in trying to defend me which kept agitating my brother even more because what my mom was saying was totally wrong and not helping me one bit. I did manage to get done what my brother asked me to get done and the whole time during I was reaming my mom out for telling my brother I did not want to help him out and that the whole idea was making me cry… of course. I was only near tears because nobody was listening to me and the whole fact that it was traveling day and that I had four hours of sleep the night previously. After I took the boat back to the marina to grab something left in the van I had a nap. After I still felt shitty, but thankfully my brother was kind enough to stop the boat out front of the cabin and invited me along to go wakeskating….. It was just great to be at the cabin, just wish we could have stayed longer.
