I registered for College last week online. I am really starting to look forward to heading back to school in the evenings again, as much as it will take into my “free” time and my current workload I am ready for the challenge.
I will be taking one Child Psychology course which I need as a prerequisite in September. Then I am going to begin doing my Special Education Citation for Early Childhood Education the following semester (January 09). I do not think I will be finished everything until the December 2009! As the courses I need to take are not available during the summer semester. Mark your calenders everyone as there will be a big celebration in early January 2010 when I am FINISHED! (That is until I decide to head back to school to take yet another program in Special Education and take the Educational Assistant program! - I am just a school wanting to learn machine!)
Who would have known that when I first started doing my Early Childhood Education Program in 2003 that I would want to continue exploring and learning to expand on what I had learned though my experiences. When I started going to school to become an early childhood educator it was just “something to do” as I had wanted to get out of retail and find a career. I am proud to say, I have found my career and though my work experiences I know I want to work with children who require extra support. How I have grown.
Hi, my name is Aidan. I am the webmistress of daydreamz.net. I am 25 years old, licensed Early Childhood Educator who lives on the west coast of Canada in gorgeous British Columbia.

It’s great to hear that you want to work with children who need the extra help. I know of so many people who go into the field of child education and child care thinking it’s going to be a piece of cake, and they’re not really cut out to handle the special cases and children that come along…
I wish you good luck in your venture! Even though you’ll be busy, I’m sure you’ll do fine!

Great job on getting into that course! I’m interested in psychology too, although not as a career pathway :).

I’m hoping to go back to college myself in September. Maybe we can keep each other updated on how we’re doing =).
I’m looking to do Hairdressing, but after looking it up today online, I think its going to take longer than I thought.
Good luck for when you start anyway, its always nice to have something new to focus on.

Yay for registering. I think I’m done with college, for a while. I’ve been in the “system” for the last six years and I think I’m finally ready to just not do that anymore. lol. But, good luck with everything.
I guess it’s interesting what you learn about yourself and your preferences and things like that - when it comes to life anyway. I’m glad you’re enjoying what you’re doing, guess that’s all that matters at the end of the day. =D

Wow, another BC girl!! Awesome! I love this province…and I love your name.
It’s awesome that you’ve found yourself a career. If you enjoy it you should just keep going where ever it leads you! I still need to find myself a career. Good luck with all your schooling!
