I have finally gotten around to changing up my theme here at daydreamz.net. After doing some wrestling with the coding, and even after trying to rid it of some evil coding that I encountered in the sidebar.php file. I now have everything up and running smoothly.
This weekend has been pretty relaxing. Saturday Bryan and I woke up early and headed out to my grandmas place so we can take her out for lunch. She loved having us out there, as she lives two hours away from any other family members an yet hardly anyones heads out to visit her. If they do, they take her to places that they want to go for meals or shopping. I could really tell that she was happy to take us to the quite little neighbourhood restaurant that she visits on occasion with her friends and even the waitress seemed to know my grandma. My grandma is awesome, full of funny stories that you would never imagine hearing a grandmother tell. Rude stories, funny/odd/questionable memories etc. I’m glad she still has it all going for her ‘upstairs’. I told her when we left that if she is ever in the mood for some fine dining, or company, or just to let us know that our next visit it taking too long she could always phone us up and we will be there in a snap.
That evening we went out a friends place, as she was in town from England. We had dinner at her parents place and wow, the food was delicious. My friend and her fiancée are chefs over in England and they made the dinner complete with homemade cheesecake. I had also learned something new that night as well. Did you know that Shepard’s Pie is made with Lamb, while Cottage Pie is made with Beef? I never knew that, I always thought Shepard’s Pie was beef and that Cottage Pie never existed. I am not tempted to head out to various restaurants and order Shepard’s Pie and complain when it comes with Beef and not Lamb.

I like the new theme. It’s quite springy. Goodness knows that is a nice change from the dreaded snow I keep seeing here.
Grannys are great aren’t they? I swear mine could out walk me anyday. It’s nice that you took her out somewhere SHE wanted to go. After losing my great-Aunt recently, my advice is to spend as much time with your grandmother as possible. You just never know how much time you have left with her.
That’s funny about the Shepherd’s Pie/Cottage Pie thing. I have definitely heard of both, but I’m sure I didn’t know about the lamb thing either. Thanks, I learned something new too.

yay for getting the new theme/layout to work out.. Weird I never about the lamb part… then again when I make it, its always with beef.
Thats great that you were about to spend time with your grandma. Once they are gone most of their stories are lost forever. I miss my grams … call you later

I love Shepards pie, I used to have it every friday night at my great-nans house, along with brocoli and gravy with bread and butter. Its the thing I miss most about visiting, other than her obviously.
Love the new theme, think I might dabble at changing mine soon.

I love cheesecake! And homemade cheesecake is the best ink my opinion!
I like hanging out with my grandparents. They’re still so cool at an older age.
