It feels so good to be back home. For the past week Bryan and myself have been house sitting/cat sitting for his mom and step dad. They went away on some cruise, and we took care of their place while they were gone. During that time they had also arranged for our condo (which we rent from them) to be painted.
It has been chaotic and busy this past week. It has not felt like a mini holiday at all. We both have felt so rushed and tired at the end of our days. From work, to keeping his parents place tidy and organized, the lack of good sleep from sleeping on an unfamiliar bed. Also the stress of returning to an over turned house. Arranging the furniture back into place, cleaning up the ‘minor’ messes that the painters left (empty paint can in bathroom, foot prints on our kitchen counters, etc.). It does feel good to be home.
As I am happy to be back in the comforts of my own home, it will not be our home for very much longer. We received an eviction notice new years day. We have until April 30th to move out. Bryan’s mom is wanting to sell this property, and another one in which she also owns to collection the profits made, as well as to simplify her life a little more. We are currently searching for some place cheaper than what we are paying now, as we want to save more money. Hopefully in a year and a half we will purchase something together and get out of the renting market. I just hope we can find something in the area we are currently in, if not I’m willing and wanting to move farther away into a new city, it would be a great new adventure!

It is nice to get home but now when you have sorting out to do when you get back.
We would love to move house but for the price we are paying for this property we are in (renting) we wouldn’t get anything at this size. This house is pretty much a bargain. We’re not happy here though and would love to move. I’d really like to get out of the renting market like you but we are not going to be able to afford our house until I start work.
